Habitat for Humanity of Camden County, using Christian principles, partners with our community to eliminate substandard housing in Camden County by building decent, affordable houses and providing opportunities to strengthen families through home ownership.
What is Habitat for Humanity?
Habitat for Humanity of Camden County (HFHCC) is not a handout but a hand up program. In addition to a down payment and the monthly mortgage payments, homeowners invest hundreds of hours of their own labor (sweat equity) into building their Habitat homes.
HFHCC tries to keep building costs low by utilizing contributions, donated materials and volunteer labor. Donations come from individuals, churches, local businesses and corporations. Volunteers come from every walk of life from school children to stay at home parents to local businesses to retirees.
HFHCC is a Christian based non-profit open to anybody who believes that everyone deserves a simple, decent and safe place to live. Our goal of eliminating poverty housing and homelessness in the Camden County area with your help.
HFHCC does not offer short-term housing, rental housing or immediate occupancy.
Habitat families are selected without regard to religion, race, ethnic background, family status or disability.
